Administering Vaccine

Route: Intramuscular injection

Recommended site: Deltoid muscle in the upper arm

Identify the injection site using anatomical landmarks.

  • The injection site is approximately 2 inches below the acromion process and 2 inches above the axillary fold/armpit.

Administer the vaccine.

  • Insert the needle at a 90-degree angle into the middle and thickest part of the muscle and inject all the vaccine.
