This webcast will provide up-to-date information on the rapidly changing field of immunization. Anticipated topics include influenza and zoster vaccines, recently approved vaccines, and updates on vaccine supplies and vaccine safety. The two-hour webcast will occur from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm (Eastern Time.)

Goal
To improve immunization practices in the United States.

Objectives
After this program, participants will be able to:
- List two recent immunization recommendations made by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).
- Describe two emerging immunization issues.
- Promote health improvement, wellness, and disease prevention in cooperation with patients, communities, at-risk populations, and other members of an inter-professional team of healthcare providers.

Target Audience
Physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, DoD paraprofessionals, pharmacists, health educators and their colleagues who either administer vaccines or set policy for their offices, clinics, communicable disease, or infection control programs. Both private and public healthcare providers, including pediatricians, family practice specialists, medical assistants, residents, and medical and nursing students.

Continuing Medical Education
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.
Continuing Nursing Education
This activity for 2 contact hours is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Continuing Education Contact Hours in Health Education
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. This program is a designated event for the CHES to receive 2 Category I contact hours in health education, CDC provider number GA0082.
Continuing Education Units (CEU)
The CDC has been reviewed and approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 8405 Greensboro Drive, Suite 800, McLean, VA 22102. The CDC has awarded 0.2 CEUs to participants who successfully complete this program.
