Query HelpThe SENSOR Pesticide-Poisoning database has 2,753 cases who were exposed between 1998-2002. The query page allows one to access this data. Use of the query page is easy. STEP 1First, go to Section 1 and select the variables you'd like to subset on. To subset means that you want to restrict your analysis to individuals that meet certain criteria. For example, you can restrict your analyses by gender, race, Hispanic ethnicity, etc. If you do not want to subset, then make no selections in Section 1. Selections to Section 1 can be cleared by clicking on the reset button at the bottom of the query form (this can be found in Section 3 of the query form). It is simple to determine if selections have been made in Section 1. If a variable header is green, then a selection has been made in the variable box, even though the specific selection may not be visible. Note that for each variable, only 4 values are visible. The scroll bar on the right of the variable box can be used to view the other variable values. If a variable header in section 1 is red, then no selections have been made in that variable box. STEP 2After selecting the variables to subset on, go to Section 2 of the query form. In Section 2 you will identify the variables for which you want illness counts. If you want only a one-way frequency table, select either a row or a column variable. Select both a row and a column variable for a two-way frequency table. STEP 3Use Section 3 to route your output. If you want your output displayed on your computer monitor, no selection is required. For output to a pdf file, select "pdf" which is good for printing. For a comma separated values file which can be viewed in a spreadsheet, select the "comma separated values" option. STEP 4Click the submit button. Your output will then be displayed in the format selected in Step 3. If you'd like to do another query of the data, return to Step 1. The query page can be displayed by using the back arrow on the browser tool bar. |
